  • They can offer new insight especially in regards to technology and social media.
  • They are motivated young people who see their future working within your company.

Just like other employees, Apprentices earn a wage so you need to have finance to pay them. Apprentices earn a minimum of £2.73/hour (however, many companies offer more to make sure they attract a high calibre of candidate).

You also need to make sure that your staff are ready and prepared to take on an Apprentice because Apprentices normally need to work alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills.

But there is no need to worry! Pathway Group will guide you through the ENTIRE process.

  • An appropriate work-based qualification such as a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) at either Level 2 or Level 3.
  • Key Skills qualifications, e.g. working in teams, problem-solving, communication & using new technology.
  • A technical qualification such as a BTEC or City & Guilds (relevant to the specific Apprenticeship).
  • Other qualifications or requirements as specified by the particular occupation.
  • Functional Skills (Maths, English, IT).

With Pathway Group most Apprenticeships are delivered through work based learning. This means your business won’t be affected as the Apprentice won’t have to attend college or do day release.  There are a few exceptions to this depending on which Apprenticeship you choose to offer. (Speak to an advisor to find out more.)

From an Apprenticeship your employee can:

  • Stay in employment within your business (if a vacancy continues to be available).
  • Apply for another role within your organisation.
  • Take a higher Apprenticeship (Level 3).
  • Take further training courses with Pathway Group.
  • If it isn’t possible for the apprentice to stay on because there is no longer a role for them then you will have still have provided them with the skills, qualifications, experience and most importantly, a reference to progress their career.
